A recent Gartner study found f.e:
Therefore Gartner recommends reatilers should assume that consumers prefer membership cards as a way of identifying themselves to them at the point of purchase. They should make it easy and convenient for consumers to join and access their program, rather than force them to use technologies like biometric finger scanning they may not be interested in.
An interesting opportunity for the xyzmo SIGNificant Technology [1]! (Scan the barcode from membership cards and combine that with handwritten biometric signatures to make your point of sales paperless)
