We look forward to meeting you at CeBIT 2014. If you want to get in touch with us for an appointment please contact us.

stu-530Since late 2013, Wacom has been collaborating with experts from the world-leading consumer product testing company SGS to demonstrate the durability of the STU-530 LCD signature pad. The STU-530 is undergoing an extensive endurance testing programme at the SGS defect and damage analysis laboratory in Dortmund in order to determine the wear and scratching of the active area. After approximately 120,000 signature cycles, the SGS and the Fraunhofer ISE have determined that: “The Wacom STU-530 is showing no quantifiable changes at all.” This expert assessment validates our commitment to continue the test until the half-million signature mark is reached.

Wacom and SGS will be presenting the test set-up for this unique stress test exclusively to CeBIT visitors at their exhibition booth in Hall 3 (Booth E29). LCD signature pads are subjected to extreme stresses during their everyday use in retail payment and cash terminal systems or in banks. It is not unusual for an LCD signature pad to accept as many as 100 signatures per day. The current findings of the ongoing endurance test can already be extrapolated to a minimum life span of approximately 4 years. The results reflect 30 years of experience in the development and production of reliable Wacom pen technology and guarantee not only long-term investment security but also a consistently high level of precision.

CeBITMarch 10th to 14th 2014 is time again for CeBIT in Hannover, the world’s most important business IT event. xyzmo will be exhibiting in Hall 3, booth E29 together with Wacom.
